Tottenham accept a loan offer from Juventus for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, which includes an option to buy.

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to a loan deal with Juventus for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, which includes an option to make the move permanent. The 29‑year‑old Italy international is set to travel to Turin to complete the transfer, with a non‑mandatory £8.6 million purchase clause attached to the agreement. The arrangement comes after Juventus’ pursuit of Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martínez fell through when Villa moved closer to signing Parma’s Zion Suzuki. Martínez, who is nursing an injured finger, is currently unavailable for selection. Vicario lost his place in Tottenham’s starting XI under head coach Roberto de Zerbi, who promoted backup Antonin Kinsky to the starting role last season. De Zerbi has confirmed that Kinsky will remain the first‑choice goalkeeper for the upcoming campaign, noting that Martin Dubravka was brought in on a free transfer from Burnley in July to provide competition and depth. The move forms part of a record spending spree by the north‑London side, which has already secured six new players while continuing to target two additional attacking options. Tottenham have also off‑loaded, loaned out or released several former first‑team regulars, including captain Cristian Romero, England international Djed Spence and Yves Bissouma. Since joining from Empoli for £17.2 million in 2023, Vicario has made 117 appearances for Tottenham.
