Three people have been taken to hospital after reports of shots being fired in Forest Gate, east London.

The London Ambulance Service (LAS) said it was called at about 14:50 BST to Upton Lane. LAS confirmed it took one person to a major trauma centre and the other two patients to hospital.

The Met Police told BBC London the force was investigating a double shooting.

Upton Lane remains closed both ways between Kitchener Road and Chaucer Road.
