Spurs open talks with Manchester City to sign attacking duo Omar Marmoush and Savinho.

Tottenham are in discussions with Manchester City over the possible acquisition of forwards Savinho and Omar Marmoush. According to sources who spoke to BBC Sport, the negotiations are advancing, although no formal agreement has been reached yet. The club’s interest in the Brazilian winger Savinho dates back to 2025. The 22‑year‑old chose to remain at the Etihad Stadium at that time, but he managed only seven Premier League starts last season and is now said to be contemplating a departure after joining City for a £30 million fee from Troyes in 2024. Omar Marmoush, who arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2025 for £59 million, fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola during the 2025‑26 campaign. The 27‑year‑old contributed eight goals in 36 appearances across all competitions. City’s valuation for the pair has not been disclosed, but the club anticipates securing a substantial net profit from any sale of the two players. Tottenham head coach Roberto de Zerbi has already overhauled the midfield this summer, bringing in Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle for a combined outlay of £185 million. De Zerbi has emphasised the need to strengthen the attack after the side finished 17th in the Premier League last term, managing just 48 goals in 38 matches. Spurs continue to monitor Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, though it remains uncertain whether they could afford a deal for the Dutch international while also pursuing moves for Marmoush and Savinho. Manchester City have already offloaded several players this window, including Rodri, midfielder Tijjani Reijnders and second‑choice goalkeeper James Tottenham. The north London club will open its Premier League campaign away at Brentford on Saturday at 17:30 BST, while City will host Bournemouth on Sunday at 14:00 BST.
