Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the rose 1.06% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:), which rose 4.37% or 1.74 points to trade at 41.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik AS (IS:) added 3.67% or 3.80 points to end at 107.30 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:) was up 3.62% or 2.30 points to 65.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:), which fell 9.96% or 8.45 points to trade at 76.40 at the close. Selcuk Ecza Deposu Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:) declined 3.40% or 2.55 points to end at 72.35 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:) was down 3.15% or 5.30 points to 163.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 281 to 273 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.30% or 8.41 to $2,767.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $75.88 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $79.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.60% to 35.65, while EUR/TRY rose 0.61% to 37.19.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 107.96.
