UNLV defensive lineman can continue playing under Colorado decision, judge says

A national justice in Las Vegas ruled Monday that UNLV defensive lineman Cohen Fuller may continue to play under a Colorado federal court decision concerning NCAA eligibility. Fuller had sued the NCAA in June, asking to remain eligible for the 2026‑27 season after the association declared he had exhausted his eligibility. On Friday, Denver U.S. District Judge Charlotte Sweeney determined that athletes who graduated from high school in 2022 and had exhausted their playing time under a new NCAA eligibility rule could be granted a fifth season of competition. Nevada Chief U.S. District Judge Andrew Gordon said during a Monday day proceeding that, because of Sweeney’s ruling, Fuller would be permitted to keep playing during the current season. “He’s got what he wants,” the justice said.
