Videos showing dangerous driving easily found on social media

At least one of the youths killed in the Middlesbrough crash appears in a compilation of TikTok videos that showcase dangerous driving, according to BBC Verify. BBC Verify says it uncovered dozens of clips on social media platforms depicting high‑speed pursuits, vehicles mounted on pavements and travel on the wrong side of the road. TikTok’s community guidelines bar material that “could pb to carnal harm”, and the platform has removed the videos flagged by BBC Verify. Cleveland Police announced they are opening a wide‑scale investigation “into the criminality which took spot anterior to the fatal crash”, adding that “there is nary grounds to bespeak that filming of the activities that took spot connected Friday nighttime and Saturday greeting has taken spot for the purposes of TikTok”.
