Watch: Huge fireball as tanker explodes on Italian motorway

This is the moment a tanker carrying liquid propane gas exploded, sparking a huge fireball on the motorway between Rome and Naples.

The vehicle had earlier been involved in a crash with a truck. Everyone in the surrounding area was safely evacuated before the blast.

Although there was damage to the road and surrounding buildings, the route was able to reopen several hours later.
