An android at China's World Humanoid Robot Games ran faster than Bolt's world record, smartphone maker Honor says.

A humanoid robot named Lightning, developed by Chinese smartphone maker Honor, completed a 100‑meter sprint in 9.32 seconds at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, surpassing Usain Bolt’s human record of 9.58 seconds set in 2009, according to the company. The robot, described as a bladed, achromatic and reddish unit, posted its time during the competition that opened on Saturday and also features events such as boxing, football and household tasks like folding laundry. More than 2,000 robots from 16 countries are expected to compete, and the event comes as China showcases its dense concern in robotics.
