SPOTLIGHT EVENT: CALI TUCKER Award-winning entertainer Cali Tucker is making her Aliante Casino debut on June 28 in the Access Showroom. Hailed by People Magazine as a “blend of sweet and sassy ... addictive,” Cali will be bringing her powerhouse voice, infectious humor, and electric stage presence to deliver an unforgettable night of musical entertainment. 

Born into country music royalty—her mother is LaCosta Tucker and her aunt is the legendary Tanya Tucker—Cali’s appearance as a finalist on NBC’s The Voice under the mentorship of Blake Shelton catapulted her into the spotlight as one of country music’s rising new artists. MISC: MOUNTAIN FEST If you need an excuse to go up to Mt. Charleston, here are two. One, it’s usually 30 to 40 degrees cooler up there. Two, Lee Canyon’s Mountain Fest. This free, all-ages event features a concert, craft beer tasting, food vendors and ticketed outdoor activities like disc golf and scenic chair rides. The 12th installment of the festival is expected to exceed last year’s record attendance of 2,000. And there’s plenty of mountain to go around. “People will be dispersed around the resort, some taking part in outdoor activities while others chill and enjoy music,” said Johnny DeGeorge, Lee Canyon’s marketing coordinator. The music lineup includes Carlos Guerrero & Friends playing American roots, local country artist Chris Heers and blues artist Johnny Hazard. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and bring blankets or low-profile chairs. Their visceral mix of post-hardcore and metalcore pull listeners back to a time when every lyric felt like an anthem for the broken-hearted.
