MUSIC: OUTLOOK FANZINE’S 10th ANNIVERSARY Ten years ago, local musician, promoter, designer, producer and zine-maker John Vanacore pulled his many creative threads together and gave them a name: Outlook Fanzine. What started as a passion project quickly became a staple in the Vegas punk and hardcore scene. Under that name, Vanacore began booking shows for the bands he and his friends wanted to see, and putting together gritty one-page zines that captured the spirit of the local underground. Along the way, Outlook built bridges with other local promoters and helped shine a light on the city’s loudest corners. Fergusons Downtown hosts the Beltane Fairy Festival with live entertainment, mystical vendors, psychic readings and a drum circle. To top it all off, there will be a maypole dance, a Beltane ceremony and the crowning of the May Queen and Green Man.
