A’ja Wilson did not miss a beat in her return after a three‑game absence caused by a sore ankle, recording her 130th career double‑double with 32 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks to lead the Las Vegas Aces to an 88‑80 victory over the Portland Fire on Thursday night.
Wilson made an immediate impact, scoring 10 points in each of the first two quarters while shooting 54 percent from the field, helping Las Vegas take an early lead.
The performance also moved the four‑time WNBA MVP into sole possession of seventh place on the league’s all‑time list for made two‑point field goals, passing Seimone Augustus with 2,168 career makes.
The win gave the Aces their 10th road victory of the season, tying the Minnesota Lynx for the most road wins in the WNBA. Las Vegas has won three of its last four games away from home.
