The win improved the Aces to 19-8 overall and tied them with the Golden State Valkyries for second place in the WNBA standings. Wilson, a four-time MVP, has been especially dominant in July, averaging a league-leading 27.4 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Her performance marked the 14th time this season she has led Las Vegas in scoring across 27 contests. Chelsea Gray contributed 17 points and seven assists, becoming the seventh player in franchise history to reach 4,500 career points. The achievement also moved her into eighth on the Aces' all-time list for made two-point field goals. Forward NaLyssa Smith did not appear on the Las Vegas bench for the game. She later took to social media to reveal she is battling an illness.
