Woman charged after four stabbed near Covent Garden

A 47-year-old woman has been charged after four men were stabbed near Covent Garden in central London. Stella Gollovena, who has no fixed address, faces four counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. Police were called to Endell Street at approximately 12:30 BST on Wednesday after the four victims, aged 34, 39, 42 and 56, were found with stab wounds. They were taken to hospital; their injuries were described as non‑life‑threatening and not life‑changing. All have since been discharged. Gollovena was detained at the scene and taken into custody. She is scheduled to appear before Highbury Magistrates' Court later. The stabbing occurred in the capital’s bustling tourist district, which is packed with bars, theatres and restaurants.
