Women contacted police about incidents with Josh Jacobs during time with Raiders

As Hobart and Lawrence police investigated a May battery case involving Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, multiple other women contacted the department with their own allegations against the former Raiders standout. Those accounts were included in evidence released Friday night in response to a public records request.

Jacobs pleaded no contest on Sept. 10 to misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property stemming from a May 26 arrest. The NFL placed him on the commissioner's exempt list in August, causing him to miss Green Bay's first six games, and the league's investigation remains ongoing.

According to the records, one woman reported an incident from January 2022 in which she said Jacobs slapped her, threw her phone into a pool, grabbed her by the hair, pinned her down and said, "I should kill you right now." She told police she had not reported it earlier because she remained friends with Jacobs and feared she would not be believed.

Another woman told police of an April 2021 incident in which she said Jacobs grabbed her by the arms, pushed her against a wall and threw her belongings out after a condom broke and she asked him to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases. She reported bruises and swelling.

Jacobs' attorneys issued a statement Saturday noting the Brown County District Attorney's office had the allegations for months, conducted an exhaustive investigation and determined only two misdemeanor charges were warranted. "Josh has repeatedly expressed his remorse and is honoring the terms of the agreement," the statement said.
