Age of Chivalry canceled due to severe weather forecasts in Las Vegas

The Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival has canceled its Sunday event out of precaution to severe weather, festival organizers said. Clark County Parks and Recreation announced the cancellation in a release Saturday, citing an abundance of caution due to updated forecasts predicting wind gusts up to 55 mph as remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel are expected to reach Southern Nevada.

High winds of this velocity pose significant safety hazards to temporary structures, outdoor installations and festival grounds, creating unsafe conditions for attendees, performers, staff, vendors and community partners. Patrick Almeido, Director of Clark County Parks and Recreation, said, “The safety and well-being of our participants, dedicated staff, and partners is always our highest priority.”

He added, “While we are disappointed to cancel Sunday’s festivities, operating under such dangerous wind conditions presents risks we simply cannot take. We deeply appreciate the community’s support and understanding.” Detailed information regarding ticket refunds, credits, or exchanges will be communicated directly to ticket holders via email within 48 hours.

Attendees are encouraged to monitor www.lvrenfair.com and official social media channels at @lvrenfair for further announcements.
