Boulder City’s girls golf team secured its third consecutive Class 3A team state championship on Wednesday at Ruby View Golf Course in Elko. The Eagles shot a combined 116-over 692 over two rounds to win the team title by 86 strokes over Truckee, who finished at 202-over 778.

Individually, Boulder City had three medalists: senior Emmerson Hinds finished second at 11-over 155, Makenzie Martorano placed third at 21-over 165, and Morgan Terrill came in fourth at 30-over 174. Truckee’s Allison Mortimeyer won the individual title at 4-over 148.

Coach Robert Reese praised the team’s effort in a text message, saying, “Very proud of the girls. We had high expectations shooting for the three-peat and they came through,” and added, “Very cool and proud to have three individuals (medalists) as well in (second, third) and (fourth) place. Fun to be a part of this great team.”
