Developer unveils $375M project to turn former casino site into athletics-centered campus

Developer Agora Realty & Management unveiled plans Wednesday to convert the 25‑acre former Fiesta Rancho casino site in North Las Vegas into an athletics‑centered mixed‑use campus. The $375 million initiative forms part of Agora’s broader Hylo Park improvement along Rancho Drive at Lake Mead Boulevard. It will feature a newly constructed 250,000‑square‑foot indoor sports complex, while the existing ice rink on the property will be remodeled and fitted with a hard‑top surface to accommodate basketball games and other contests. Additional components include a hotel, a family entertainment center equipped with a sports arcade and backstage event space, medical office space, high‑tech batting cages, a fitness playground for outdoor workouts, and an outdoor tract designed for picnics, sporting events and community gatherings. According to a press release from the California‑based developer, the project is slated for completion in late 2027. Agora founder Cary Lefton described the vision, stating, “We’re fundamentally going to be able to take attraction of the sports traveler,” he said. Hylo Park now spans 73 acres, encompassing the neighboring former Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho hotel‑casino sites.
