Pedestrian dead after crash on Las Vegas Strip

A pedestrian was killed in a collision on the Las Vegas Strip Tuesday morning, the Metropolitan Police Department reported. The incident occurred around 7:47 a.m. at the intersection of South Las Vegas Boulevard and Four Seasons Drive. Police said a 2017 Jeep Compass traveling westbound on Four Seasons Drive turned left onto the boulevard when it struck a 46‑year‑old Las Vegas male who was crossing the boulevard east to west in a marked crosswalk. According to the police report, the Jeep driver failed to yield, hit the pedestrian, and threw him onto the roadway. The driver, a 64‑year‑old Las Vegas female, remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment; she was not injured. The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with serious injuries and was pronounced dead Wednesday, the Clark County coroner’s office said. His death marks the 90th traffic‑related fatality in 2026 within Metro’s jurisdiction. The crash remains under investigation by Metro.
