High School Football Picks: Week 3

Every season brings a game or two that delivers a humbling reminder: even the most confident predictions can go sideways.

Don’t get us wrong — last week’s 17-6 record was solid, and our 26-8 season mark speaks for itself. 

But one of those losses really kept us grounded. 

We predicted Cimarron-Memorial would roll past Valley by 29 points, only to watch the Vikings flip the script with a commanding 22-9 victory. Hats off to Valley for that performance.

Here’s another week of picks.

Kailua (Hawaii) at Liberty

This game will come down to the fourth quarter. Liberty 23, Kailua 21

Bishop Gorman at Kahuku (Hawaii)

Closer than you think. Traveling to the islands, even for college teams, is a challenge. Gorman 41, Kahuku 19

Mililani (Hawaii) vs. Coronado

Coronado prevents Mililani from a two-game sweep in Nevada. Coronado 29, Mililani 23 

Cheyenne at Del Sol

Snow Canyon (Utah) at Sierra Vista
