Home Improvement Backyard Expo to be held Sept. 11-13

Visitors can also meet ADU, casita and new‑home builders, review plan options, learn about permitting and financing and gain insights into integrating additional dwellings onto existing properties. Growing demand for functional, comfortable outdoor environments is evident as homeowners invest in full backyard kitchens, entertainment zones, shade structures, pergolas, patios and outdoor rooms that extend usable space beyond the interior. Technology continues to shape improvement decisions, with smart‑home products, energy‑efficient upgrades, electric‑vehicle charging stations and innovative remodeling solutions helping to increase convenience, comfort and overall property value. Reflecting the heightened focus on sustainable landscaping, the Master Gardeners of Nevada will host regular seminars and roundtable discussions offering advice on container gardens, herbs and vegetables, selecting desert‑friendly plants, attracting birds and bees, managing pests and cultivating thriving desert gardens suited to Southern Nevada’s climate.
