Las Vegas resident Derreyl Goode, 40, was arrested in Los Angeles on Aug. 17 for the 2008 shooting death of Jason Mosley, whose wedding was scheduled for the following day. The apprehension was carried out with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Task Force, according to a statement from the San Francisco Police Department.
Goode is accused of shooting and killing Mosley, a 28‑year‑old hotel table clerk, on April 27, 2008, on the eve of Mosley’s planned marriage to Alejandra Lara. Police said Mosley was to wed Lara at San Francisco City Hall, three blocks from the location where he was slain.
The department’s Cold Case Unit assumed control of the investigation, determined that Goode had been living in Las Vegas, and obtained a warrant for his arrest on homicide charges.
“Goode was transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, wherever he was met by SFPD Cold Case investigators,” the merchandise said.
Online records show Goode was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail on Aug. 17 on suspicion of murder and was transferred to the San Francisco County Jail system on Monday. Details of any forthcoming court proceedings were not immediately available.
Authorities described the probe into Mosley’s killing as ongoing and urged anyone with information to contact 1‑415‑575‑4444.
