A teenager and her parents are suing Henderson homeowners, an HOA and a security company over an alleged sexual assault at a house party in November 2025.

Lawsuit: Teen sexually assaulted while unconscious at house party

A teenage girl and her parents filed a lawsuit Oct. 1 in District Court against Henderson residents Tina and Vipul Shah, The Estates at Green Valley Ranch Owners Association and its security contractor, St. Moritz Security Services. The plaintiffs, identified as Jane and John Doe, allege the girl was sexually assaulted while unconscious at a house party on the 2200 block of Feathertree Avenue in November 2025.

The complaint accuses the defendants of gross negligence, civil conspiracy, aiding and abetting, and infliction of emotional distress. It also alleges the Shahs violated Nevada's "social host" liability laws by allowing minors to consume alcohol on their property. Unnamed assailants are listed as respondents for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

According to the lawsuit, roughly 75 to 100 high-school-aged guests attended the party where alcohol and marijuana were present. After the girl became severely intoxicated and incapacitated, "multiple party-goers assaulted and sexually assaulted her, each acting with knowledge of her incapacitated state," the complaint states. It adds that one or more people may have recorded an assault on a cell phone, though co-counsel Corrine Murphy said the video "may not necessarily be sexual in nature."

The girl's parents said they called Tina Shah after 9 p.m. when they could not locate their daughter, but Shah did not call back despite allegedly agreeing to do so. When the parents arrived around 9:30 p.m., they found their daughter "unconscious and unresponsive." The lawsuit states Shah "strolled downstairs in her bathrobe, stated she summoned law enforcement to disperse the party and began concealing alcohol containers." The victim was hospitalized for acute alcohol poisoning and did not regain consciousness until the next day.

The Henderson Police Department told the Las Vegas Review-Journal it has "no report of sexual assault reported from, at, or related to" the Shahs' address, despite the lawsuit stating a report was made and the case remained open. The department did not respond to requests to clarify the discrepancy. The Shahs, the HOA and St. Moritz Security Services did not respond to requests for comment. Murphy said, "The thrust of this case is really about seeking accountability. We allege that our client was let down by other adults and institutions."
