Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and relatives of two people killed in January will gather Friday at Nathaniel Jones Park to renew public appeals for information. The "Justice and Flowers" event is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the park on Sparkling Chandon Drive in southwest Las Vegas, hosted by the LVMPD Homicide Section, family members and the Enterprise Area Command.
The investigation began Jan. 28, 2026, when a juvenile called police to report his mother had been injured at a home in the 8600 block of Rowland Bluff Avenue. Officers found Briana Flowers, 31, and Anfernee Akeem Pollard, 31, with life-threatening injuries. Both were pronounced dead at the scene after police and medical crews attempted lifesaving measures.
Investigators determined the suspect or suspects fled before officers arrived. The homicide section took over the case, but more than nine months later no suspects have been charged. Detectives say they continue to search for leads.
