Manchester City have reached an agreement with Lille for the transfer of 18‑year‑old midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, valued at £86 million (about €100 million). BBC Sport reported earlier this week that the two clubs were engaged in advanced talks for the Morocco international to join City. An arrangement for the teenager to join Enzo Maresca’s side is now in place, with Bouaddi set to complete his move to England.
The agreement follows City’s sales of midfielders Rodri and Tijani Reinders, which has led the Premier League side to prioritise bolstering its central midfield. City continue to show interest in Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez, although it remains uncertain whether a separate deal can be finalised.
