At the time the tremors struck, Four surgeries were underway. The recording, taken from a camera positioned in an operating theatre where an abdominal procedure was being performed, depicts medical staff using their bodies to shield the patient as equipment swayed violently; simultaneously, a caregiver can be seen opening a doorway to secure an evacuation route. According to the hospital, each 4 operations were successfully completed. Following the incident, the hospital suspended outpatient services on 28 July and resumed normal operations on 5 August.
