A man in his 40s died after being hit by a 2019 black Volkswagen Tiguan while crossing West Cheyenne Avenue outside a marked crosswalk early Sunday, according to the North Las Vegas Police Department.
The crash occurred just after midnight between Trade Drive and Revere Street. Police said the SUV was traveling westbound when it struck the pedestrian in the travel lanes.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators reported no signs of impairment on the part of the driver.
The Clark County coroner’s office will release the victim’s identity along with the official cause and manner of death.
