Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins did not take part in Wednesday’s practice, according to team observations. While Cousins was absent for the majority of the media session, he appeared on the field wearing a jersey but without pads to watch his teammates as reporters left.
Head coach Klint Kubiak is set to address the media after practice and may provide clarification on Cousins’ status. Kubiak has not yet officially designated Cousins as the starter over Fernando Mendoza for the season opener versus the Miami Dolphins, though all signs point to that decision being forthcoming.
In other roster notes, running back Mike Washington Jr. switched to jersey No. 4, while kicker Matt Gay, who had previously moved to No. 4 earlier in the week, reverted to No. 14.
The situation remains developing; further updates will be issued as they become available.
