Raiders rookie leaves preseason game with ankle injury

Las Vegas Raiders rookie defender Keyron Crawford exited Thursday night's preseason contest against the San Francisco 49ers with an ankle injury. Crawford, a third‑round selection from Auburn, recorded the Raiders' only sack of the game before being taken off the field. The injury prompted the team to rule him out for the remainder of the contest. Team trainers assisted Crawford off the sideline, after which he was transported to the locker room by cart. Prior to the injury, Crawford had demonstrated consistent improvement throughout training camp. The Raiders have not released any additional information regarding his condition.
