Raiders sign 3 veterans, including former top-10 pick, to practice squad

Las Vegas Raiders signed three veterans to their practice squad on Thursday, bringing in a former top‑10 draft pick as part of the group. The club added offensive lineman Evan Neal, who was selected seventh overall by the New York Giants in the 2022 NFL Draft. Neal spent his entire professional career with the Giants before being released last week. He has lined up at both tackle and guard, starting 27 of the 29 games he has appeared in. Neal has not seen game action since the 2024 season, spending most of last year on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Also joining the practice squad is defensive end Azeez Ojulari, a second‑round selection by the Giants in 2021. Ojulari has previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles and was released by the Atlanta Falcons last week. He has recorded 22 career sacks across 49 games, including 32 starts. His brother, BJ Ojulari—a former second‑round pick of the Arizona Cardinals—took part in Thursday’s wide receiver tryout but was not signed. The third addition is Michigan alum Ronnie Bell, a wide receiver who has spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints. Bell has accumulated 10 receptions for 113 yards and four touchdowns in 28 career games. To accommodate the new signings, the Raiders released defensive end Jahfari Harvey, offensive lineman Kamar Missouri and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam from the practice squad. According to the official NFL transaction log, 16 players were listed as having participated in Thursday’s tryouts. The list also featured former Michigan defensive end David Ojabo and veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes‑Scantling, indicating the Raiders continue to evaluate talent as they seek to improve their roster.
