Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is poised to take the field Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, even after being added to the injury report earlier today with an illness. Bowers has been managing more than just the knee ailment that kept him out of the team’s opening two games. He returned to the lineup last week, posting 10 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown fewer than three weeks after undergoing a procedure on the same knee. Although he was listed as a tight end on Friday due to the knee issue, the designation appeared to be a precautionary measure as part of his recovery.
The Raiders’ only other notable injury concern is starting right‑side defender Jackson Powers‑Johnson, who will sit out the contest with a groin problem that forced him from last week’s victory over the New Orleans Saints in the fourth quarter.
Aidan O’Connell will be back with the squad Sunday after missing more than two weeks following the death of his father; he is expected to serve in an emergency quarterback role if needed.
Additionally, defensive tackle Jonah Laulu, cornerback Darrell Luter Jr., and safety Tristin McCollum are all slated to be inactive for the game.
