UNLV kicker Ramon Villela is the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced this morning.

Villela, a sophomore, had 11 points in UNLV’s 41-38 win over Miami (Ohio) on Saturday, including a 27-yard field goal in the final minute for the game-winning points.

UNLV is off to its first 4-0 start since 1973. It returns to action Oct. 4 at Wyoming to open league play.
