UNLV's Jackson Arnold wins Mountain West weekly football award Monday, Oct. 5, 2026 | 9:09 a.m. UNLV quarterback Jackson Arnold was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after accounting for all five of the Rebels’ touchdowns in a 39-31 victory over California. Arnold, a senior from Denton, Texas, threw three touchdown passes and ran for two scores Saturday at Allegiant Stadium, also converting a two‑point attempt. He rushed for 110 yards on 15 carries, marking the first 100‑yard rushing game by a UNLV running back since 2024. He opened the scoring with a 55‑yard touchdown run and added a two‑yard score later in the game. He passed for 177 yards on 11 attempts, three of which resulted in touchdowns. Arnold connected with Kayden McGee on a 70‑yard scoring pass and with Taz Reddicks on a 36‑yarder. His 10‑yard touchdown pass to tight end Keyan Burnett in the fourth quarter gave UNLV a 32‑25 lead. Arnold, who transferred from Oklahoma and Auburn, is the first UNLV offensive player to earn the weekly award since running back Anthony Colandrea, who captured it four times last season en route to Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year honors. UNLV (3‑2) hosts North Dakota State (5‑0) on Saturday for its homecoming game.
