A woman’s body discovered in Lake Mead National Recreation Area has been ruled a homicide, according to police. Kareamah Bey, 53, was found on July 1. The Clark County coroner’s office determined she had been deceased for approximately two weeks before her remains were located, a Metropolitan Police Department release stated. Officials said Bey was experiencing homelessness and was known to frequent the vicinity of Belmont Street and Carey Avenue in North Las Vegas. She was last seen in the 3100 block of Thomas Avenue. Detectives are requesting anyone who knew Bey, interacted with her, or possesses information about her whereabouts or activities prior to her death to come forward.
