‘Crash ur row only’: Las Vegas flight turned around after passenger allegedly said he’d ‘hijack’ plane

A United Airlines redeye flight bound for Newark, New Jersey, returned to Harry Reid International Airport Saturday night after a passenger allegedly made terroristic threats midflight. The plane, carrying 150 passengers, turned back less than an hour after departure, according to flight tracking data.

Las Vegas police arrested 25-year-old Dante Milne on charges of making a threat or providing false information regarding an act of terrorism. According to a criminal complaint, Milne allegedly communicated that he was "gonna hijack this" plane — using an expletive — and "crash ur row only." The document does not specify how the message was sent or to whom it was directed.

United Airlines confirmed the flight returned safely to address a "potential security concern." The flight was delayed overnight and departed for Newark on Sunday morning. The Federal Aviation Administration said it will investigate the incident, noting there have been over 1,400 unruly passenger incidents reported so far in 2026.

Milne faces a possible sentence of 1 to 20 years in prison if convicted. An attorney listed for him did not immediately return a request for comment, and his initial court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.
