The Superintendent’s Cup finals across the three divisions of the Clark County School District independent football programs have been set after another eventful Friday night with close games between the top teams in each division. Northwest rivals Arbor View (6-3) and Centennial (6-3) will face off for the Division I Superintendent’s Cup at 7 p.m. Friday. Centennial pulled off the upset of the year in a 27-24 win at Liberty to knock out the Patriots, who most had penciled in to play Arbor View.
The Division II Superintendent’s Cup final will be a rematch of the Henderson Bowl between Green Valley (7-1) and Basic (8-1) at 7 p.m. Friday at Basic. Green Valley held off Palo Verde 28-21 and Basic beat Legacy 36-20 in the Division II crossover games. Green Valley’s only loss was to Basic 21-12 on Sept. 4.
Valley (6-2) and Sunrise Mountain (8-1) will square off for a second time at 6 p.m. Friday at Sunrise Mountain in the Division III Superintendent’s Cup final. Sunrise Mountain won the regular-season matchup 26-24 in overtime at Valley on Sept. 10. Arbor View and Centennial will also be a rematch from the regular season when the Aggies took control early and rolled to a 55-34 win on Sept. 10.
