Early vote totals in Tuesday's Clark County Commission races show incumbents Richard "Tick" Segerblom and Jim Gibson holding significant leads in their re-election bids, while Minja Yan leads a three-way contest for the open District F seat.
In District F, which covers Enterprise, Spring Valley, parts of Henderson and rural areas including Blue Diamond and Primm, Yan held 54.2 percent of the early vote. Former state assemblymember Heidi Kasama trailed with 38.4 percent, while former state senator and Gaming Control Board chair Becky Harris stood at 7.3 percent. The seat opened after Commissioner Justin Jones declined to seek re-election.
Segerblom, a Democrat who has represented District E since 2019, led Republican challenger Manny Kess 66.4 percent to 33.6 percent. District E includes portions of Paradise, Sunrise Manor, Whitney, Winchester and parts of Las Vegas. Segerblom previously served in the state Assembly and Senate.
In District G, covering southeastern valley areas including Henderson and Boulder City, Gibson led Jon Maxham 63.2 percent to 36.8 percent. Gibson, a former three-term Henderson mayor and president of Western Elite waste services, was first appointed to the commission in 2019 before winning election in 2020.
