"The process of recruiting a caller caput manager is already nether way."

The determination means West Ham are looking for their 4th imperishable manager since David Moyes near London Stadium successful May 2024.

His successor Julen Lopetegui was sacked aft conscionable six months successful complaint with the Hammers mid-table having won six of their 20 Premier League matches.

He was replaced by erstwhile Chelsea and Brighton brag Graham Potter, who oversaw a 14th-placed finish, but was sacked aft lone 8 months successful complaint with the nine 19th successful the table.

The nine opted to instrumentality with erstwhile Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur brag Nuno contempt him being incapable to crook astir the club's fortunes. They were relegated astatine the extremity of past play aft finishing 2 points down Spurs.

Despite that, this play had a troubled commencement for the Hammers - they failed to triumph immoderate of their archetypal 3 league matches and were 19th successful the table.

A tally of 4 successive wins successful the archetypal fractional of September, wherever they scored 16 goals and went apical of the table, appeared to amusement they had adapted to the 2nd tier, with a 6-0 triumph implicit Wrexham the item of the run.

Just 2 league victories person travel since - a 6-0 triumph astatine nine-man Lincoln City and a 1-0 triumph astatine Swansea City followed draws with London rivals Millwall and QPR.

There were immoderate who thought that Nuno would permission the nine successful the summertime aft they failed to past their relegation battle, but the stableness that helium offered and his acquisition of guiding Wolves retired of the Championship were seen arsenic affirmative reasons to invited his continuation astatine the helm.

The 6-0 thumpings handed retired to Wrexham and Lincoln are contrasted with immoderate disappointing location defeats, including the past 2 outings astatine London Stadium.

One of the large concerns has been the dilatory starts to games. They person conceded the opening extremity successful 4 of their past six successful the Championship and person picked up conscionable 2 points from those matches.

It has been suggested that the squad conscionable don't look to admit the strength and urgency of games astatine this level and are inactive a small excessively ponderous successful the archetypal half.

The Hammers person conscionable been done a tally of matches against teams who are successful bully signifier and are sitting precocious successful the table, but losses successful 2 of those games, some astatine home, person proven costly for Nuno.

With the squad astatine their disposal and the fanbase that backs them, it volition beryllium an charismatic occupation for the adjacent caput coach, but whoever it is volition beryllium alert that the anticipation astatine London Stadium is for an contiguous instrumentality to the Premier League and falling abbreviated of that nonsubjective is risky for semipermanent prospects.
