Zoox named official autonomous ride hail partner of Las Vegas Grand Prix

Amazon-owned Zoox has been named the official autonomous ride-hail partner of the Las Vegas Grand Prix under a multi-year deal that begins in 2027. The company will drop off and pick up Formula One fans at Grand Prix Plaza, the event's hub at the northeast corner of Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane, which will feature a dedicated zone for Zoox operations.

"Partnering with Las Vegas Grand Prix Inc. brings together a shared commitment to engineering and innovation with the people and energy that make this city so special," said Carly Wyatt, Zoox's vice president of experience, communications and marketing. "Our purpose-built robotaxi was designed around the rider to make getting around more seamless, comfortable, and enjoyable. Together, we're bringing autonomous transportation to one of the world's most exciting sports and cultural moments."

Brendan Dolby, vice president of commercial at Las Vegas Grand Prix, said Formula One has always been a platform for innovation and the partnership with Zoox brings that spirit to life in a new way. Zoox already has a presence at previous Las Vegas Grand Prix events through its relationship with the Atlassian Williams F1 team and has hosted race week activations.

Zoox launched paid rides in Las Vegas in August, offering service between major hotels, entertainment venues including Area15 and Sphere, and Harry Reid International Airport. The company's robotaxis are four-seat carriage-style pods with facing seats and no steering wheels or pedals, capable of reaching speeds up to 75 mph forward or backward.

The 2027 Las Vegas Grand Prix is scheduled for the week of Nov. 20. Preparations for this year's race on Nov. 20, 2026, are already underway on the 3.8-mile circuit consisting mainly of public roadways.
