Polls opened at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. across Nevada, though anyone in line by the deadline can still vote. The Nevada Independent reports that most of the electorate has already voted through the state's robust early and mail voting system; in the 2022 midterm, only 21 percent of voters cast ballots on Election Day itself. This year, Election Day turnout could be decisive in the state's most competitive races.

By 3 p.m., Republican turnout on Election Day was running about 10 percentage points higher than Democratic turnout, down from a 12-point advantage earlier in the day. In 2022, Republicans held a 22-point Election Day edge. In Clark County, where Democrats entered the day with a roughly 67,000-vote lead, the Republican advantage in Election Day voting has hovered around 600 votes, according to The Nevada Independent's Eric Neugeboren.

Republican congressional candidate David Flippo addressed recent scrutiny of his military record and financial disclosure during a brief interview outside a Reno polling place. The retired lieutenant colonel said his reference to Desert Storm covered a yearslong period supporting the operation and noted he received the Southwest Asia Service Medal for service between 1991 and 1995. Regarding his financial disclosure, which has not appeared on the House Clerk's website, Flippo said "the system was down" when his campaign attempted to file a draft in September and that they are filing now.

Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar announced a modernized election results website Tuesday, building on the existing Silver State Elections system. The revamped site allows users to bookmark selected races and filter vote tallies by county. "Transparency means making election information easy to find and easy to understand," Aguilar said. Officials cautioned that initial returns Tuesday night will not represent complete totals, as counties have until the seventh day after the election to process mail ballots and complete canvassing.
