Las Vegas handicapper Bruce Marshall of WagerTalk.com has identified betting edges for nine college football matchups this weekend based on recent and historical trends. Marshall provides weekly college football notes to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

In the Mountain West, Wyoming carries an edge over UNLV after winning and covering four of its last five games while going 6-1 to the under in its last seven. The Rebels are just 7-10 against the spread under coach Dan Mullen since early 2025. The BYU-Utah rivalry favors the Cougars slightly; BYU has won the last three meetings outright, including the past two by a combined four points, and is 8-3 as an underdog since late 2023. However, Utah has won 14 straight games since mid-2025 and is 8-1 against the spread in its last nine.

Missouri holds the advantage hosting Texas, as the Longhorns are 1-7 against the spread as an SEC road team since joining the conference in 2024, including 0-5 in their last five such games. The Tigers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five as an SEC host. UCLA continues its turnaround under Bob Chesney at 8-0 straight up and 7-0-1 against the spread, with the under hitting in its last four games, while Minnesota has covered its last four as an underdog.

Series trends point to Clemson at Syracuse, where the road team has covered six of the last seven meetings, and Dabo Swinney is 4-0 straight up and against the spread as an ACC visitor. Duke is favored at NC State after winning and covering the last three meetings and going 9-1-1 against the spread versus ACC foes on the road since mid-2024. Purdue gets the edge over a Maryland team that has lost 12 straight and is 1-8-1 against the spread in its last 10 Big Ten games.

South Carolina is favored over Texas A&M, with the Gamecocks winning and covering three straight this season and coach Shane Beamer covering in each of the past four seasons against the Aggies, who are 4-7 against the spread since late 2025. Alabama holds a slight edge at LSU after winning and covering the last three meetings, and Kalen DeBoer's teams are 8-3 as underdogs since 2023, though the Tigers are 5-0 straight up and against the spread at home this season under Lane Kiffin.
