Heavy voter turnout and changes to the voting process are creating long waits at polling sites across Clark County, with officials warning lines could grow longer this evening. Wait times at 2 p.m. were averaging between 40 and 60 minutes at about 60 polling sites, according to the county, while about 35 sites had waits between zero and 20 minutes.
County spokesperson Jennifer Cooper warned in an email that wait times could get longer this evening. Polls close at 7 p.m., but anyone in line at that time will be allowed to cast their ballot.
